4Stayed here for 2 nights and had a different experience of Zurich.
It is located in Triemli - a residential district of Zurich. Train journey from Zurich Main Station to Triemli Train Station is about 15 mins BUT there are only 2 train services per hour. The train station is closer to the hotel (less than 5 mins walk) than the tram station but there is almost no directional sign from the station. The Triemli Tram station is about 25 mins walk and not recommended for those on 1st visit to this guest house. There were no directional signs the moment we leave the tram station and we were lost for about 45 minutes before we found a resident of the area who knew the exact location of this guest house.
The hotel staff - from the reception to the restaurant, were very helpful and courteous. There was a basket of fresh apples at the reception table - these apples were from the garden behind the hotel (very fresh and sweet). There is a very beautiful autumn view of the mountains from the back of the hotel. The room was average - had a safe box, dim lighting, hair dryer, clean towels, worn out looking carpet.
The breakfast spread is well presented and fresh, the plus point is the freshly brewed coffee and the fresh apples! Possibly due to the location, the hotel guests here looked very refreshed and relaxed.
This hotel has its pros and cons. Not recommended for business travellers. Recommended for travellers who enjoyed a slower pace of life and prefers another sight and feel of Zurich.
