4.2Stayed one night at the Lady's First Design Hotel in May 2008. We arrived pretty late - probably about 10pm - but were warmly greeted by the front desk lady. Much to our surprise upon checking in, we were told our room had been upgraded - fantastic! The room we got was very spacious, with a modern and clean design. (Much like the rest of the hotel.) The bathroom was situated in its own little "box" in the corner of the room, which was pretty funky. The peaceful location of the hotel was a little bit away from the exact centre (i.e. a bunch of hotels seem to be located where the train station is), but that's not a problem - Zurich is pretty small, and the tram service is excellent. Lovely roof terrace with stunning views. The only slight negative - and something I'd read about in other reviews - is that the floorboards of your room will be pretty creaky. You'll notice it yourself as you walk around. Not especially a problem...until your hear the upstairs guests walking around at 1am. Okay, so it's not too noisy, but it is noticeable. Tasty continental breakfast in the morning. Free wifi a big plus. (Why don't more hotels do this??)
