I booked a single room for an overnight stay whilst in Scotland on business. I chose this hotel as a result of the free wirless internet that is offered. Unfortuntely the room I was staying in did not have a good reception so they kindly upgraded me to a family room so not only I could get the reception that I required, but I had more space to work in too. Apart from that the hotel is nice, clean, tidy and serves a good breakfast too.

We stayed at this "Hotel" just overnight from a sat to a sun. When we arrived it was very quiet as it was a sat afternoon, so I put it down to people going out, when we checked in we looked at the decor and then looked at eachither, but stayed silent. When we got too our room, we were very disappointed and the view from the room was into a church. Once we got settled we took a run into Biggar and that was ok we stayed there for a bit, on returning to the hotel we decided to take a walk around which took a whole 10mins. We got our dinner and had a few drinks in the bar and asked when the bar closed he told us 10pm, so we went and got changed and came down at 7.30pm and everything was closed up. This was very disappointing and just wanted to go home. We went accross to the Post Office and off license to get a carry out and returned to the room to watch tv. Bearing in mind this was a sat night and we are a couple in our 20s. We wanted a quiet night away which yeah we got, but this was rediculous. The tv had a interferance the whole way throug, it was clear that by the morning we had breakfast and checked straight out and headed home. I regret choosing this hotel and will never return, I certainly wouldnt recommend the hotel to other people either.
