Waterman Svpetrvs Resort - Supetar, Croatia 

A friend and I went to stay at the Waterman after reading reviews and wanting a nice resort to relax at. After first being put into a room with a double bed versus the twins we booked, we were moved to a far off building that was in the 10 year old field trip location. In addition, the pathway had no lighting at night to safely walk back to the room. We asked to be moved to a more central location and after asking the hotel staff over and over the reluctantly agreed, albeit we were put in a double with no A/C. At this point we started speaking with our travel agent to get our situation sorted, and were guaranteed being moved to a room we booked in a central location. This posed to be a problem even after they agreed with our agent to move us. After being shown our third room that still was not what we paid for, we left the resort to stay at a much more pleasant hotel in Supetar. I was surprised that a 4* resort would make their guests pay to use beach chairs. The only helpful staff was the bellboys, as the reception desk proved to have rude workers who spoke very little english. And we never got an I'm sorry about your problems until we left the resort with the reception manager trying to keep us. He was a day late and a dollar short. I would caution anyone from staying at this resort if you are looking for any kind of service and a relaxing vacation. Note: this is a family destination.

This Hotel is for german and croatian families mainly. The staff are pleasant and can speak english when you do not have any problems but as soon as any problems arise they struggle to speak english. The manager was uncontactable when it suited the reception staff and immediately contactable under other circumstances. The bookings were mucked up and the requested room was not supplied, they moved us around from room to room unable to meet our booking of a twin room with aircon. The resort is anything but quite and relaxing, families galore and children everywhere! The manager was unhelpful until the point of leaving the resort where suddenly he was offering all inclusive and the room requested at the beginning. This is a massive resort, be very aware as to which block you are put in, photots of only one of their blocks (best of course) is on their website, there are around5 or 6 complexs all very different standards! Go for a smaller resort where you will have a relaxing experience and amazingly helpful and personal service. Do not go to this resort unless you want cheap, cheerful, and loud environment with very poor service.
