Bellavista - Zermatt, Switzerland     

We really loved staying at this hotel. It is located up the hill from the main town area which we knew before we booked. Nothing wrong with getting some exercise! With our bags it was a little difficult, so would suggest calling the hotel from the station to get a ride up. Our room was so cozy, with a beautiful view of the Matterhorn for about 15 minutes when we arrived and 15 minutes the morning we left! Went to the top of Klein Matterhorn for all of 10 mins. when they closed the mountaintop due to a storm and we had to turn right back around and go back down. The weather was really terrible, but we enjoyed relaxing with a bottle of wine in our room watching the fog hang low over the rooftops of the town below. The bathroom was spotless and very spacious. The owners were friendly and provided a delicious breakfast with so much to choose from. Although we did not eat dinner at the hotel, I am sure they make it a wonderful experience also. The lower levels of the hotel with the library and seating area with free internet access was helpful.

Hotel location gives a beautiful scenery of the beautiful place and we were lucky to get a view of Matterhorn from our room balcony too. But we found it little hard to reach to the hotel on foot with the luggage and a small child. It is advisable to call up the hotel from the station for a pick up.
