My husband and I stayed at the Flemings hotel for 3 nights at the end of May and were very pleased with our choice of hotel. We already knew we would have a shower cubicle in the main room, which as others have said may have been a problem if we were travelling with children but, that said, there wouldn't have been room to add a cot to our room, let alone an extra child bed! Our only 'complaint' with the room was that there were no tea/coffee making facilities but the hotel does have a nice coffee shop serving cakes and pastries.
The breakfasts at the hotel were very pleasant - a good variety of cold meats, smoked salmon and cheeses, cereals, crossants and pastries etc. There was also a 'to order' menu of bacon and various styles of egg available.
I was a little concerned before we travelled to read of the 'poor location' and of the numerous sex shops in other reviews. I actually thought the location was very good - the hotel is a two minute walk from Westbanhof Station and there is a tram stop within a minutes walk also. There was a sex shop on the other side of the road but this appeared to be closed. I would certainly not describe the area as seedy. We walked in the area at night and felt perfectly comfortable.
We are unlikely to return to Vienna, although we had a wonderful time there, as there are so many other places we want to visit. We noted that there are Flemings Hotels in other European cities and we will definitely look for one in the future.

We arrived by airport-bus (6 euro one way ticket, departs every 30 minutes) at the Westbahnhof. From there it takes only a couple of minutes walking to come to the hotel.
We asked for a quite room and we got a room at the backside of the hotel. And indeed: we didn't hear any noise (although the hotel is located at a busy street).
The shower was great, but if you aren't here with your partner i can image that you don't like the glass shower because you don't have any privacy. Thank god the toilet is not from glass :-).
The breakfast was good, plenty of (fresh) things that you can take. Although we have a complaint: the service in the breakfast-room was lousy. We had to wait for a long time for our coffee every day, one day it was so busy that we had to wait for 30 minutes on our bread (because it was finished) and if we ordered eggs, they arrived late. The problem was that there wasn't much personnel, so the couldn't handle all the people.
But except from that i would surely recommend this hotel.
