We went to stay in Actons to get a long weekend getaway. It is a great location, great value and the staff are very helpful and pleasant. The housekeeping staff also need to be specially commended for their honesty as my partner left a very valuable watch behind and housekeeping made sure we got it - integrity not always found, even in the world's top hotels.
We both had treatments at the spa and found the staff in the spa to be superb and very well run. The spa probably needs a bit of a facelift but I would highly recommend it if you are staying in Kinsale to recharge weary limbs in a delightful setting.
All in all I would definitely recommend Acton's hotel & Spa and it's location in Kinsale is second to none.

We stayed at the Acton for one night in July 2008. The lobby, bar, and gym are great. The room and bathroom were very shabby and definitely not worth the price of 65 euro p.p.s. which does not include breakfast. This was the worst accomodation we experienced in our 10 day trip to Ireland.
