My husand and I, along with two teenage boys (17 &15) stayed at South Seas for one night, May 30, 2008. Check in was a breeze and the front staff was friendly. Since we only had one night, we opted for a standard room (Room 220). The room and bathroom was small but adequate. What made this hotel special was the location (close to everything) and the hammock area before the beach. The pool never closes which is great. The lobby was very clean (white furniture). One tip traveling with teenagers. Explain to them that South Beach is a place for people watching and they will have a better time. I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel and plan to return in the future.

Stayed at the South Seas Hotel for 3 nights in june and had a great stay. The rooms are not luxurious but we found it extremely clean and loved the duvet covers on the bed. Bathroom was small but adequate and clean. Absolutey loved the hotel pool. Was a good size and lots of lounge chairs. We bought lunch by the pool all 3 days and found it delicious(especially the mini burgers-so cute). This hotel has a hammock garden which is unique and verrry relaxing. The beach is just past the hammock garden and is great to. Nothing to complain about here. Oh, the continental poolside breakfast was very good too. I will be staying at this hotel again as it has everything you need and is close to lincoln road mall & the art deco district.
