H10 Salauris Palace - Salou, Spain     

I liked the hotel because it was very cheap and relatively near Barcelona and other nice places so it was a good base camp for us. The train station is not far and would can easily go to Tarragona, Barcelona and other cool places. The hotel is a short walk (10 min.) from the beach and is in the touristic area of Salou. The more residential area is much nicer so we mostly hung around there. The staff of the hotel was fairly nice but not that competent. The food was very very bad, really English oriented so fat and salty without much of a spanish taste. We didn't eat there too often. The pool was too cold but I guess it's much appreciated in August when it's really hot out there. I did not think that hotel was amazing but i'm pretty sure it was the same in every other hotels in Salou so... and as much as I look like I didn't like it that much, I would go back because with the money we saved by going there, we were able to sepnd it on 3 days in barcelona and lots of visits and nice restaurants so...
