Beautiful place, but...

This resort is really one of the nicest we've stayed at with our RCI points. The rooms were beautiful and clean and so were the bathrooms and other living areas. I loved the decor - the cottage/country theme is just lovely. Unfortunately, we had requested 2nd floor (three times) and still got first floor. Our worst fears were realized when we were kept awake 'til 2:00 a.m. each night due to just incredibly inconsiderate people above us. It honestly sounded like they were chopping wood or working out on some sort of weird machinery. It was the oddest thing I've ever heard. By the third night, we finally complained to the front desk, and they told us to call, no matter the time, if it happens again. Well, we did, and a half hour later, these ignorant people actually came directly above our heads and stomped about five times!!! I was absolutely appalled. It took us ten hours to get here, and we needed our sleep. When they moved out and a new family moved in, we thought we would finally get some sleep. Nope. The next family had two or three kids who were up past midnight running around like a herd of buffalo. I realize a lot of these places are built very poorly, but the problem is, does no one have consideration for other people anymore???

Wonderful family escape

We stayed at Club Intrawest Blue Mountain on a Discovery Stay deal. We had a two bedroom condo with a lovely deck complete with deck chairs and hammock. Our kids ages 6 & 8 enjoyed the pool and kids' games room. We all enjoyed the proximity to the village and our complete kitchen which allowed us to prepare our own meals. This was a really peaceful family holiday - nice change from the usual family theme park craziness!!

Location is awesome, base of Blue Mountain with lifts just outside the door and Village at Blue right on the doorstep. <br><br>Accommodations were quite comfortable. Well equipped kitchen for snacks or full meal prep. Enjoyed the gas fireplace and the view of the mountain. <br><br>Found the thermostat strange and room temp. very difficult to control at a pleasant level, usually a bit too hot or too cold. <br><br>Ski Valet program is very good. Lots of great restaurants just steps away. We will stay here again!
