Iberostar Sunny Beach Resort  - Sunny Beach, Bulgaria     

From what I saw I did not like Bulgaria, It just wasn't for me. Blackpool lights and hard selling. Though the fake clothing items seemed of good quality cos my boys are still wearing the T shirts after many washes! This hotel was clean and comfortable, we had two quad rooms. The food was good and the staff friendly. Its close to most things. The childrens entertainers are amazing and the kids bought the cd which they are still dancing to. They work all the time when did they sleep probably never. There are plenty of pools (flippin freezing though). It was in the 100s when we where out there but it didn't realy feel like it, it was OK. We went on all the usual trips and didn't love any of them, Khans tent was so funny(not in a good way), the guy who was serving us was so rude and agressive, it was awful. The poor woman who was at our table was having her photo taken and they screamed at her to sit down, it was totally out of order. PLus the food at the tent was the only bad food we had on the holiday. The show at the tent was good apart from the woman who could really bend. All the men came to the front and where making comments which where a worry cos we had kids with us. We had seen something similar at Blackpool tower without the comments. (Actually I think the whole show had come from the tower cos it was so similar). The airport is absolutely horrendous, 3 am flight went at 12 in the afternoon the next day and the Thomas Cook/First Choice organisation and communication did not exist. There is nowhere in the airport to go it is so awfull even worse than the Old Greek Island airports you used to get in the 80's. It was made worse cos nearly everyone in the airport started being sick. I have never been so glad to get on the flight. I guess I should have liked this hotel its is meant to be the best in Sunny Beach and this is probably true as Sunny Beach aint that great. I don't want to give it a bad review, So its clean, comfortable, rooms are spacious, Kids clubs are great, Food is good (my mum said great) I say boring, Pools Cold but good quite a lot of space, Need to get a seat quick though as they go fast. We felt safe walking around at night. But be careful there is a lot of robbing that goes on, A lot of people including us had stuff stolen around the pool area. Also you need to be careful when exchanging money, never do this on the street, we met people who had been ripped off big time with fake cash!. Also this place is Mafia run, be careful who you upset! and don't go taking any photos of the local flash cars!

Me and my mother went on this holiday not really nowing what bulgaria was all about! We were shocked on our first day to find the area we were staying in was one BIg party! HOWEVER if you want to explore bulgaria and dont want to be in the middle of a noise this is the hotel to stay at. Along with all the others this hotel is in a large resort of many hotels and shops, bars and restaurants, right on the beach but somehow this hotel was set slightly back away from any noisy bars. So it meant we could explore the town when wanted but sit back in our quiet hotel room wen necissary. As for the hotel we thought it was great! The food was varied and tasty, our room was large and spacious and the entertainment was fantastic. Our two weeks at this hotel went soo fast and there was so much to get exploring around the area. We stayed half board at this hotel which was lucky we did because there were so many other great restaurants to try out around. Take spending money because there is some serious cheap designer copy out there.....and EVERYONE shops a night because its simply too hot to be doing it during the day.
