Location

Obzor is a small coastal town located on the Black Sea coast, surrounded by vineyards, forests and fields. The population is approximately 2000 and it is situated approximately 35 km from the Sunny Beach resort, one hour drive from the two international airports and is located next to the major Bulgarian coastal cities of Varna and Burgas.

We spend 10 days (1-10 July) in this beautiful resort and I can confirm that the resort itself it is a very good option for those who are looking for a quiet, nice and high-standard place for relax. The apartments are more than awesome. The beach was clean, with nice sands, never crowded. We were a group of families with small children and on the regular beach usually we have problems with watching of them. Here was stress-free for all of us. Unfortunately, we had some problems with the food, because of low variations and sometimes with to much condiments. Also, the personnel from the restaurant remind us that we are in the Eastern part of Europe. I don’t recommend to book more than breakfast, and for the rest of the day try all the small restaurants inside the small city. You will have the chance to eat every day something else and for sure you will receive better services. We liked the restaurant from the ship located on the south part of the resort. I don’t know the A-La-Carte restaurant of the resort – we didn’t eat there at all. The BARs are ok – nice personnel, good drinks. In the two supermarkets located inside the resort, you can find many products at normal prices. I used the fitness center – good one, with modern equipment. At maximum 2 km it is disco, which looks very nice.

Obzor Beach Resort is a very nice new apartmenmt development. We had booked a 2 bedroom apartment which turned out to be huge (around 100 m2) with a fantastic panorama view of the sea. The complex is right at the beach and has nice swimming pools, snack bars, 2 restaurants and 2 small groceries. The restaurants at the resort are fairly good but a bit pricey compared to the prices in town. It is only a 5 minute drive from the small town of Obzor. If you are looking for a nice affordable dinner, Obzor has plenty of very cheap but good restaurants. The beach is nice and is amazingly clean as a whole crew "combs" the beach every morning to prepare it for the guests.
