Bansko is a ski resort situated in south western Bulgaria, resting at the foothills of the Pirin mountains. The resort is 160 kilometres from the capital, Sofia.

Here, grand nature meets with a small, ancient town setting. Over 200 authentic houses styled in Medieval architecture create the atmosphere of yesteryear. There are various cultural and historical monuments such as the clock and bell tower of the Sveta Troitza church.
