We asked for a quiet, no smoking room. Our fifth-floor room smelled of cigarette smoke when we arrived. There's no air conditioning. It was a hot weekend so we opened the windows. Room was still too hot and the trams outside kept us awake all night. The beds were uncomfortable. Carpet and fittings in need of upgrade. Breakfast: the bread and pastries were fresh. But the fruit juice wasn't - only unpleasant 'juice drink' was available. The coffee was burnt. Checkout is 11 am. You can't order a wake-up call after 10.30 pm and there's no automatic facility on the phone for doing this. Location is handy for station and Bijloke. Long walk to centre or there are trams (oh yes, plenty of trams). Ghent itself is wonderful. Try another hotel, though.

Stayed here for 1 night and was glad it wasnt any longer. Zero character, room was small and "tired". Much nicer rooms available in Ghent at other places. When we were there the rest of the hotel was occupied by a coach party from Germany - who completely filled the small breakfast room. I would not go back to this hotel.
