Asam Hotel - Straubing, Germany 

We stayed at the Asam for 3 wks this summer when my husband had surgery. The staff were quite accomodating. They were very nice and tried to ease our stay in any way they could. The room was modern, comfortable and immaculate. They had a large flat screen Tv on the wall. They had wireless internet access for free available in your romm. The bathtub/shower was my favorite. It was very large and had 2 comfy pillows to lounge against. It also was one of the few hotels with AC, which is needed in Bavaria in the summer.

On a visit to Straubing we stayed two nights in the recently opened Asam Hotel. Housed in a converted former officer's club, it is conveniently located (two blocks) near the picturesque Theresienplatz with its cafes,restaurants, and shops. The rooms are spotless, comfortably furnished, spacious with the most modern bathroom. The restaurant serves excellent food, and the bar was lively with locals checking out this newest addition to the local scene. An outside terrace serves as "Biergarten", and parking is available on a gravel lot in the back of the hotel. The breakfast spread leaves nothing to be desired and gets one started on the right foot. We would definitely stay at the Asam hotel again.
