My wife and I used Hilton HHonors points to book a one night stay at the Conrad Brussels in late June 2008 and found the hotel lovely. Even using points we were upgraded to a larger room, although I'm sure it is because I am a Hilton Diamond member. Still, when using rewards points, it's nice to be upgraded. While there is only one restaurant in the hotel, the food, both in the restaurant and via room service was good. There are, however, many dining options around the hotel. I agree that the city center is a bit of a walk, but my wife and I enjoyed the chance for exploration this offered. Although, I can see the distance being an issue for some. Overall a good experience.

I used my Hilton Honor points to stay at this hotel and was upgraded to a very large room. Service was good, employees were very nice however it is about a 30 minute walk from the hotel to the city center. There is a lot to do in the city center and some pretty good shopping. When the taxi driver was driving us to the hotel, he said it was the nicest hotel in Brussels.
