Hotel Barry - Brussels, Belgium

I booked this hotel because it is very well located in the center and not expensive. Metro and velocity are just in front the hotel. Neverthless, the hotel itself is not very clean and what we were surprised about was that it smells fuel!!! Breakfast was not very good since the orange juice was not a true one and the bred was very dry. My conclusion is that this hotel is OK for a weekend with friends but no more!

Where do I begin???? My fiance and Ibooked this hotel over the net for one night, as our other travel plans were to stay in Brugge. Brugge was a delight, Brussels was a nightmare. Take the Hotel Barry, this place was not in a good location and quite unsafe to walk at night. Now ladies listen up! You know it's bedtime, you're with your loved one and it's time to get ready for bed. Now I'm not psychic or psychotic but I just got an eery feeling that something wasn't right. It felt better to change in the bathroom or under the sheets. There was not a good feeling about this place. Upon checking in, we saw our room and we nearly died off at the sight of the cleanliness and decor of this room. There was a large chunk of glass on the carpet, and hairs all over the bathroom floor. It was disgusting and dirty, I just wanted to cry but it was late and given the location outside, we decided with hesitancy to stay. Upon checking out, one of the staff asked for cash, as he claimed he doesn't charge the credit card (as was booked over the net). I will let you know if there was a double-charge for this room. This is not a hotel I would recommend and in fact, I have now just read horrific reports of burgularies within this cess-pit. So avoid it at all costs.
