We spent a very good weekend in Brussels and stayed at the Hotel Barsey. It is a very good hotel, with a special "Special Mention" for the quality of the service. All the staff including Front office, Restaurant and Housekeeping was very helpful and friendly. Located out of the Center it is quiet and you can go to La Grand Place quite easily... Definitely a place to recommand to spend a "Romantic Weekend".

Camera singola molto spaziosa e dal letto molto grande. Pulizia impeccabile e servizio ottimo. Unico appunto: al momento del pagamento, l'hotel mi ha inizialmente applicato una tariffa diversa da quella di Venere.com. Solo mostrando la conferma di prenotazione di Venere.com ho avuto applicata la tariffa prenotata.

Is this really 5* star?

I stayed one week in July in this hotel. booked it via GTA hotels site. Well. Price was quite low, 102 Eur per night with breakfast whereas on the other sites it was 150 eur and more. Hotel totally doesn't correspond to 5 stars. I've seen better 3 stars. Breakfast is poor and price 25 euros seems some kind of cheating. It's ridiculous. OK, to be honest. Food was ok quality. But selection.... And this is 5* hotel? I agree with definition of some other reviewers. Rooms look like bordello. Everything seems so oldish and needs renovation. You get into hotel and entrance hall looks like some kind of cave. Well, maybe someone finds it exciting, to get into dark cave. Not my taste i have to say. I definitely didn't like interior. Dark, red velvet. old furniture. Old is not always antique. Right? Reception staff never could give proper answer with directions in the city. Where they all come from? I used to get poor copy of map form them with marks on it with explanation "you get off the tram here" no tram stop name, no street name. They were just useless. Right, if it was 3* i coul take it as is. But this was 5* hotel? i just don't understand.
