Could do with some major updating (or at least a fresh coat of paint). This is really an annex to the Hotel Arlequin which is about 100 metres away - and where you check in and out. Rooms are ok but fairly basic and my bathroom, while quite spacious (bath and separate shower) was quite dingy with mould on the ceiling. Location is very central, just a few steps off the Grand Place, but fairly noisy if you have a room overlooking the lane. Breakfast can be taken in the lobby but looks distinctly unappetising, a far better bet is to walk over to the Arlequin and take breakfast there (no additional charge). Overall, great if you need somewhere to crash out right in the heart of the city, not so great if you're looking for something pleasant and romantic.

This hotel is centrally located( a few steps off the Grand Place) and near many good eateries and shops. We would have been very happy with our choice except that the room was poorly kept. Our room was on 4th floor(top flr) and had old world character with the exposed wood beams. The bed could have benefited from a fresh white duvet rather than the dingy looking dark green motel bedspread and the linens were clean but appeared worn. Behind the entry door were floor to ceiling cobwebs and the wall that backed the shower had peeling paint and signs of damp damage, also the mirror in the bathroom was broken. The elevator was small and clean-good for luggage or persons with stair walking difficulty. We took the stairs twice and nearly fell one time due to the peeling runner along several steps. The complimentary breakfast consisted of pastry, cereal, meat and cheese, OJ, tea and coffee-all self serve. We paid 85euros on a Sunday night. We stayed in Brussels a second night but checked out of this hotel and went to another. Not only were we not thrilled with the room but the price on Monday night rose to 135euros. Might recommend if management would make few small repairs and make certain the rooms are completely clean.
