well located in the city centre, only one block away from the metro station "louise" .but it will be more convenient if we can also have wifi access in our rooms, not only in the hotel lobby.

When we arrived I was given a rather grubby room on the 7th floor with stained carpets and furniture. However, when I complained I was moved to a better room immediately. My only question is, why was this room given to a customer at all?? Apart from this the stay was enjoyable. Food was good (although the breakfast is a rip off at 21 Euros). The Hotel is around 45 minutes walk from the old centre of Brussels but you can get the metro from Louisa just down the road. One of the better Holiday Inns.

Great location -- Hotel is what you would expect of a Holiday Inn. Good staff, older but well cleaned rooms with the nice bath amenities.

When we first arrived, staff at reception apparently hadn't read the notice that we would bring a child along. So we got two seperate rooms with the second room being 1/2 mile down the corridor... The room was overheated, the heater couldn't be turned off. We had to sleep with an open window which felt like camping next to a highway, only a little louder. We were moved to a different room for the next night only to find out that there was no hot water at all (maybe that's why the heater's were running on full-scale to make the occupants appreciate some cold water...) . After an inefficient technician wordlessly arrived, fumbled around and just as wordlessly left again, there still was no hot water. Complaining again we were given an executive room with free use of the minibar (just two or three bottles of coke) two floors down. When we opened the door it felt as if the Belgium indoor-smoker's association had just held their annual meeting inside. We left the room immediately only to go back to our cold-water resort. On the way back we met another furious businessmen who didn't have any hot water. Only the coachloads of American students and Portuguese tourists seemed to enjoy themselves although they had been told that they had to have breakfast at 7 in the morning as the hotel was too full for a later breakfast. The next night we were given another room, this time for free, to make up for all the inconvienience. Breakfast was also free in the the morning and so was the cabaret in the breakfast room with absolutely hopeless staff who forgot to bring the hot drinks, carefully treaded around bits of scrambled egg that was lying on the floor, cleaning the tables with the same cloth without rinsing it in between and inefficienly tottering around guests without the least bit of politeness. It all hit the cake when at 10.30 (breakfast was supposed to be "served" until 11.00) the kitchen staff and th waiters rushed to the buffet, grabbed stuff with their bare fingers, finishing off some of the hot food as well as taking the last rolls and croissants and then hurriedly disappeared into the kitchen. Shortly after some more guests appeared only to find themselves in a desolate breakfast room with hardly any food left. It was an experience, however one we could have done without. Just take one piece of advice: rather stay in a youth hostel that in this "hotel".
