1We booked 3 months in advance, the web page said disability access if requested, so I requested a wheelchair accessible room. I received confirmation of booking.
When we got to Brussels the hotel owner said they had emailed me to tell me they were not wheelchair accessible and as I had not cancelled they ere charging the first night to my credit card. There we were in Brussels it was late and no where to stay, and being charged for the privilage.
I told him I had not been emailed. However when we got home we found he had emailed me after we left England to drive to France first and then Belgium. Despite my requests for my money back, they had taken it immediately, I have not had even so much as an apology that they emailed after I left and with no chance of cancelling.
However it was a grotty looking place, and not in a salubrious part of Brussels, we were quite gald we were not staying. We went to Antwerp and loved it.
