Rocco Forte Hotel Amigo address: Rue de l'Amigo 1-3, Brussels, 1000

Rocco Forte Hotel Amigo details: The Amigo opened in 1958 and totally refurbished in 2001, is located in the center of the city, right next to the Grand Place which is considered by many to be the most beautiful square in Europe.

The refurbishment, together with our pledge of the highest levels of five-star accommodation and personal service, should ensure that you will have a pleasurable stay, whatever the reason for your visit. The new design of the Amigo Hotel is quite traditional with some modern touches and a very Flemish feel. Good-sized bathrooms contain mosaic details in red or green to match their marble vanity tops and Tintin figures or Snowy the dog enliven the walls with a touch of humor.

In addition we have incorporated the lates in-room facilities, such as two-line phones, voice messaging, interactive satellite television, fax and dataport lines, minibar and safe. The rooms are all air-conditioned.

Some traditional features of the hotel has been retained in order to preserve the hotel's history. These include the 18th century Flanders wall tapestries and the authentic Brussels paving stones, which were originally those used in the surrounding streets in 1600. Ristorante Bocconi offers simple, authentic Italian cuisine using fresh Italian products served in a warm and contempory Mediterranean atmosphere.

You leave the lively atmosphere of the Grand'Place, and as soon as you cross the threshold of the Amigo you sense that unique feeling: the inimitable charm of a private hotel, where discretion and personalized service are the keynotes.

Ristorante Bocconi is fun, contemporary, comfortable and relaxing. A must you should enjoy!
Your comfort is our aspiration. A professional, dedicated team will offer a discreet and personalised service to complete a memorable moment.
Our Chef, Giuseppe Colella, winner of the Five Star Award and voted 'One of the Finest Chefs' by The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences 2004, will seduce you with his creativity as he strives constantly to adapt the menu to the season, offering an imaginative interpretation of the best of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.
We now have six fully equipped meeting rooms and a ballroom, which can be divided into two rooms and will accommodate up to 160 people theatre style. All are air-conditioned, spacious and equipped with the latest audio-visual technology to cater for your event. We can set up the rooms whichever way suits you best.
Some have windows, which have retained the characteristics of the jail that previously occupied the site on which the hotel now stands.
For more informal private parties, you may like to use our Blaton Suite, which spans 180 square metres and has an extensive roof terrace, separate dining room and kitchen in addition to a comfortable lounge.

Just returned from a four day stay at the Amigo and have to agree with the majority of reviews that the hotel is excellent. Previous reviews just about sum up the basics of the Hotel but for one new addition ,whilst we were staying they have replaced the old style tv's with new flat panel screens and internet keyboards
