5I had a night in Brussels due to some awkwardly-timed train connections, and the Grande Cloche seemed the best option by far.
The hotel is roughly 10-15 minutes by foot (with bags) from the Midi\Zuid station, although the signs for Avenue Stalingrad aren't very clear at the start of the walk. Once you've arrived, you're about 10 minutes at a leisurely pace from the Grande Place\Groote Markt square, which is the main thing I wanted to see.
My single room was microscopic. I couldn't have my suitcase open and walk into the bathroom, for example, and getting into bed was an exercise in contortionism. Still, once I was in bed there was a well-positioned TV with international channels from everywhere I could possibly want to watch.
Breakfast the next morning was rather tricky, as there wasn't much on offer. Still, I simply headed back into the main square and feasted on waffles.
I'm not entirely sure that I'd go back to Brussels, since there's not much there, but if I had to put in another night at the Grande Cloche, I would.
