"Convenient location for business, modern rooms"Posted: Mon, Nov 23 2009Value:
3Stayed at the hotel for business (convenient to North station)
Location: 5 min to North station, the neighbourhood is better than it used to be. You can now walk to the station almost entirely under arcades = dry when it rains. Metro is 1 min away.
Hotel: Nice but ordinary looking, clean.
Guests: Many business, rather international, the usual Hilton mix.
Public areas: Small but nice, this hotel has the newer "asian" look (dark wood, red accents). Since people are no longer allowed to smoke, even the restaurant is now agreeable. No dirty dishes in the hallways, everything is looked after.
Distances: Reasonable. To room, maybe 3 min. - elevators are good but not access secured.
Staff: Consistently friendly and helpful. Nice bar staff.
Room: Upper floor overlooking the Place Rogier. Nice room, reasonably low noise level. Bathroom is nice though if you want to shower, you must be an engineer or call housekeeping for directions (it's a funny system).
The furniture is nice, good convenient lightning.
Bed: OK but I prefer queen/king (had twin), nice sheets, comfortable.
Restaurant: Service forgot something but apologized, which I find unusual. Food was inconsistent - some good, some ok.
