"Very pleased with experience" Posted: Mon, Nov 23 2009

A two night stay was part of a package we purchased last minute. After reading the reviews, arrived very skeptical. But from beginning to end, we could not have been more pleased: lobby was beautiful, staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and efficient. Our room was on the executive floor; very spacious, extremely clean, very comfortable bed. Breakfast was way above average and the staff were very good at making sure the buffet was continually filled. We do enjoy walking, and did not feel unsafe or witness unsavory characters, even though returning long after dark.
with my disappointment, the first night insted of the kind of room that I've booked, the concierge gave us a room without air cond, very poor, and noisy, cause:men at work outside.the break-fast 20 euro ich person, was of very low quality, and the coffe was not coffe, but some surrogate,at 9.40 h.,20 minuts before the end of break-fast service, the waiters have toke away any thing,so we have had just the time to test the coffe,(horrific)and a slice of cheese(calk).40 euro: 2 cooffes,2 slice of cheese....

There is a hugh difference between the renovated and non-renovated rooms. The renovated rooms are nice, large and clean. But the non-renovated rooms really need renovation! The breakfast is so-so, the breakfast room is too small for the number of guests. The location is not so good, but easy accesible.
Uneducated Staff Posted: Fri, May 23 2008 I have never written a bad review for a hotel as somehow a hotel makes up for what it lacks in. Unfortunately this hotel had many problems during our stay that could have been avoided by better management.
We were in Brussels for a conference and had a group booking of 6 rooms.
1. We were unable to check in (we had 6 rooms booked) at the normal check in time, due to the room being occupied for a late check out. So the hotel was making money from the late check outs of our rooms plus our booking. By the time we checked in, it was 5pm! When i said to the lady that we had paid for the room and the check in time was 2pm she simply said no its from 2pm?
2. No aircon or ventilation in my room. No mini bar fridge. the rooms on my floor looked like they were being renovated. the rooms of my travel companions had a mini bar and aircon.
3. Taxi service. One morning we were unable to get a taxi from the hotel and had to walk 15 mins to find a taxi. The hotel staff did not seem to care.
If i was on a holiday the above i could properly live with however as we had travelled for work purposes it was very frustrating for us.
If you are staying at this hotel, there is a small mini mart around the corner. The turkish quarter is a 10 min walk away.
