"well worth it!"Posted: Wed, Dec 31 1969Value:
3We stayed here for a New Year break, booked with Eurostar.
It is a very classy hotel and well worth upgrading a little to get a Club room, they are huge! Hotel is 35 storeys high and the club rooms start on the 17th floor so the view is excellent.
Large room has a massive bed, comfy chairs and desk for sad people who need to work! good range of Tv, mini bar not too bad and buffet breakfast ( included in club rooms) which lasted from 7am till 2pm on the weekend and was very good quality, not sure we would have paid the 28 euro each but actually good value in Brussels.
Staff helpful but not very friendly! all rooms on street side( even numbers) with great views also can suffer from loud noise as window rattles with force of wind so be careful and dont unpack till you listen! tho we were moved next door and all was quiet!
Good tip to look for line 2 of Metro as Rogier stops right underneath hotel. Big S on hotel is great landmark.
Brussels grill restaurant outside hotel is good value and better food than it looks on menu and tiny cafe in precinct at back of hotel does good, cheap coffee. Hotel only provides 1 free coffee or tea but filter all there so bring your own bags!
All in all, a great weekend destination and we saw one of the best new year firework displays ever, free from our room window!
