Atel Opera Brussels - Brussels, Belgium 

We stayed for one night in this hotel. THe staff is helpful, and the room was not bad at all! with a bathroom and tv in the room and the bed was arlight too. Not the cleaniest from what I could tell, and it's very informal so don't expect anything too fancy. Also, for a 2 star we also had breakfast included in our price! The location is great though, right in the middle of some nice shops and 5 mins away from the grand-place.

Room smelled like cigarrette smoke on and off. As if the person working the front desk was smoking periodically thru the night. When ask to change rooms the next night, we were told to open a window. First of all, it is January. Second, I am not paying for a room to smell like smoke. We were told that we could pay by credit card. When it was time to check out, the credit card was swiped through the machine. It didn't work we were told??? We don't know the language??? We were told that we would have to pay in cash. We had to go to an ATM machine and get money b/c it was our last day in the country. Then our credit card bill showed up with 2 charges that supposedly didn't go through and we had already paid cash????? Watch when you are paying !!!!!!!
