3Stayed at the Hotel Ensor in Brugge last weekend. The hotel is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood facing one of the canals. The price was very, very reasonable (we paid 50EU one night, 85EU the next), the hosts helpful and the breakfast good. There was also wireless internet access available.
We booked on short notice, so I can hardly complain as we were frankly just glad to have found a place to stay. However, the hotel's decor was a little rundown and the ambiance was more shabby than charming. Okay for a budget hotel, but I found myself not wanting to go back to the hotel any more often than necessary and basically trying to spend as little time there as possible. Our room had an unwelcoming, cold linoleum floor that wasn't in great condition, the towels were quite threadbare and our room had barely enough lighting to allow us to sort through our suitcases at night. Not a horrible stay, but not particularly comfortable, either.
Bottom line: if you are a budget traveler, you'll do fine with the Ensor. But if you're going for a romantic weekend away, I would definitely, definitely recommend splurging on something a little more expensive.
