This is the second time we have stayed in Bruges for a long weekend and this hotel was just perfect. Location very easy to find, garage parking a real bonus and ideally situated in a quiet street just a 10 minute stroll from the centre. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and eager to make our stay perfect in every way. We had read reviews in advance and can confirm that the hotel lived up to its reputation in terms of the quality and quantity of breakfast served. Rooms were clean and, as we were at the back of the hotel, very quiet. We even had the added bonus of being able to use the fire escape as a balcony!
Searching for something to do on the last morning, the owner suggested a trip to Damme just a 10 minute drive north and well worth a visit.
When we next return, as we surely will, we will definitely be going back to this hotel.

All l can say that this is a little gem of a hotel. In a wonderful position overlooking the canal and only a very pleasant 10 minute walk to the centre, so making this location extremely peaceful after a day of seeing all the sights of Bruge. All the staff had a smile and looked as though they were enjoying their jobs which you don't often find in a lot of hotels.
We travelled with friends and we had rooms 29 & 30 which are at the back of the hotel, but the lovely bonus we had with these was that they had balconies which overlooked the courtyard and roof top views of Bruge. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and we had (room 29) a bath in ours and our friends (room 30) had a shower, so if you prefer either of these make your request when booking.
As mentioned before by other guests the breakfast was delightful. Yes, they only give you one croissant per couple but you only have to ask and you really could have as many as you like!! Fresh fruit juices and fruit, hams and cheese, cereals, toast, rolls, yogurts dried fruits and plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate was on offer.....so there was no need to eat for quite a while after breakfast!!!
This is our second visit to Bruge, the last time being in the winter. We were very lucky to have all our three days as beautiful spring days just to take in the beauty of this place.
If you have time, take a walk, hire a bike or drive down to Damme( about a 10 minute drive). This is a small village with lots of character, plenty of pretty bars and restaurants..this is well worth a visit.
So, yes, we had a lovely stay at the Ter Duinen Hotel which l would recomend to anyone and look forward to a stay there sometime in the future.
