Rooms

Our listed building dating back to the 16th century in the Old Town means that some of our rooms are comparatively small.

However, what we lack in size, we make up for with plenty of charm and character!

Nice hotel. The location is one of the best in Stockholm -- in Gamla Stan adjacent to the Royal Palace. However the rooms are a tad small. I've been in smaller ones and I don't think they are uncomfortably so, and of course they are clean and immaculate. Staff was very friendly. Genuine antiques throughout the hotel is a nice touch. For a short stay from three days to no more than a week, it's ideal.

The hotel is one of three owned by a family company, and it is full of personality, with shipping antiques everywhere. We chose it for the location, in the heart of the Old Town. We went for a room on the top floor which has air conditioning, so that we could shut the windows at night and keep the noise out, but I'm not sure this was necessary as the streets seemed fairly quiet at night (late May, mid week). The top floor is just under the roof, so I suppose could get hot at night, though the weather did not allow us to test this. Our room was not particularly large, but adequate. Service is good. Not a cheap place, though pricewise I have ittle to compare it with in this city, but the location, the service, and the personal furnishing of the hotel all made for an excellent stay.
