Taxi driver took us to this hotel (1st mistake!) in very convenient area with metro station just 2 mins away. Reception area is ok but wished we had checked the room out first. Once out of the lobby, the hotel is tatty & shabby. The room was clean with fresh linen but the room looked & was sad, with cheap furniture, spongey beds, a small bathroom which had no ventilation fan. Noisy people in corridor in early hours of morning, doors banging shut, I did not feel safe. Walls are thin so you can hear next rooms tv. The doors also rattle when window open & you can hear the drone of the small lift going up & down during the night. The website for this hotel looks good but believe me it is deceptive. Felt totally ripped off by the price charged by this below par Hotel. 1 night was enough for me at this place, went over the road & for 10 euros more found fantastic hotel (Hotel Katerina - same **catagory) 500% better with room internet access & breakfast included. Certainly would not wish Hotel Nafsika on anybody!

I have stayed at many hotels in the world but this has to be simply the "worst hotel" i have ever stayed in! avoid it like the plague for your own safety! The hotel is in a dubious part of athens and doesn't look that safe at night. The room was not clean, dirty sheets, bed linen, a dirty face cloth was found under the bed. The taxi driver even warned me ! There was no running water in the room, toilet, shower etc i called the hotel manager at 1am , he never came. Pathetic Service, Standard for a athens hotel. I will be writing to the greek department as im dumbfounded how this hotel got a operating licence! i would have been better to stay at a hostel It would have been cheaper than the 70euro i paid and got an overall better experience. Don't go by the hotel's website which i did, it's very decieving!!!! photo's don't look anything like rooms/property. Only benefit was location of metro, 100 metres. Stay at your own risk!
