Hola,

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel while visitng Antwerp for a long weekend back in April. After reading previous reviews, we were not expecting too much from the experience of staying here. However, the stay was too be very enjoyable and we could not find anything wrong with the hotel.
There are a number of aspects which make this hotel a good place too stay if you are considering a trip to Antwerp. First of all is it's location. We arrived in Antwerp on the train and within five minutes of leaving the station, we had walked the short distance to the hotel. The hotel has a supermarket directly opposite and there are plenty of restaurants within two minutes of the hotel.
The room itself was very good. It was big, bright, clean and had everything we needed. We had a room at the front of the hotel and so had a balcony. We did not venture out onto the balcony as it was a bit dirty but it was nice to be able to open the patio door (especially as it was a very warm weekend). The bed was big, the TV was fine (you get a wide range of TV channels from various countries!) and we had a fridge which kept things cold. We also had a microwave and a desk. The bathroom was clean and looked like it had been recently refurbished. One note of caution. One of the previous reviews referred to the bath being a bit slippery when getting in. I have to admit that when getting into the bath to have a shower I did slip over. No damage done but maybe something to be a bit careful of. Other than that the room was faultless.
Breakfast is available but you have to pay an extra charge. We instead opted to go the supermarket opposite so can't really comment on this.
The staff at the hotel were very helpful and spoke good English. There is always someone on the desk and available to give any advice. When going out of the hotel, they do ask you give your key in so it does not leave the hotel. We did not mind this at all (one less thing to lose!).
We only paid 165 Euros for a double room for three nights (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). We thought this was great value for money and would not hesitate staying at this hotel if we returned to Antwerp in the future.
