Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort - Oranjestad, Aruba 

The resort was very nice and clean. Very nice grounds and a great beach. However the Dutch guests that were staying there were very unfriendly and never even spoke or looked at us. The children of the Dutch guests were very wild and unsupervised. That did not make a pleasant surrounding.

I wanted to celebrate my Birthday with my very best friends from High School and thought about the Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort as I had seen it in the past and always thought it was "cute'. Turned out to be that I fell short. It was an amazing experience !: I called one week before I called to reconfirm and all was exactly as I had booked the reservation. Upon arrival, we had nothing but smiley- friendly faces to greet us and they even knew my last name! (which is not easy to pronounce). Oh! the rooms, the amenities, the set up, the combination of comfort and modern furniture, the appliances, the toiletries... We had asked for a nice restaurant to have a fancy dinner and we were suggested the Hotel's own restaurant: Passion (just by the name I was hooked..) once I saw it on the Hotel's website, I couldn't wait. What I didn't realize is that we were really bearfooted on that beautiful white sand, and that the Restaurant had a Bed in the middle...yes, a bed on which I had my dessert =). I can confess that the dinner was amazing; the hostesses, the live music, the torches, the menu, the cocktails... did I mention the food? We cleaned the plates!! Don't forget to take pictures on the Bed when you go, because I trully hope YOU go.
