I'd highly recommend this hotel as a budget hotel choice. The rooms are clean and compact, modern, with air conditioning. Bathrooms are great, with toiletries provided, and a modern shower. Breakfast was included in our stay and for the price we paid it was an outstanding deal!

I booked on Wotif for $70 p/n single a $20 saving. The room I got actually had a double bed, a bonus. The room whilst small didnt feel cramped and had everything you dont always get in a budget hotel eg fridge and phone that Formulae 1 dont have, and a real (again smallish) bathroom. My only gripe would be that local phone calls (and therefore dial up internet for your own laptop) are timed calls as per the 1980's....Most hotels/motels these days have a flat charge, usually a little more than public phone cost. My room was spotless, bed comfortable and hotel access/security was good. Location - short walk to Central Railway. Close to Redfern a area best avoided at night, especially if you dont know Sydney. But walking in the other directions was fine...along Cleveland Street to many eateries. It is right on the railway line - some might find the train noise a bother but I didnt and the trains stop running soon after midnight so sleep shouldnt be too interupted anyway.

About 8 minutes walk from the Sydney Central Railway Station. Located on quite a busy intersection with cars and trains zipping nearby frequently, but then again, you are in the centre of Sydney. The hotel is surprisingly modern and perhaps more importantly, very clean. Perhaps a little smallish but i wasnt planning on living there permanently. Staff were welcoming... and actually pronounced my name quite well. The rooftop garden was in a pleasant setting and at night it became was a nice place to meet other guests for a bit of a chat. I actually expected less for the price....

Does exactly what it says on the tin

Noah Lodge Hotel is on the junction of Cleveland and Regent streets, about five minutes walk from Central train station. It is a good base from which to explore the centre of Sydney, and very reasonably priced, given it's location. It is a budget hotel, but is modern, well-equipped, clean and comfortable. The hotel's website says that the rooms are 'not overly large', which is true, however mine was easily large enough. The room was well equipped with everything I needed (en-suite and air conditioning were especially welcome) and was cleaned and tidied for me every day. My single gripe with this hotel was that the milk was left in a jug at room temperature in the dining area - I like cold milk for my corn flakes! I would recommend this place to any travellers to Sydney who want clean, well-equipped accomodation with friendly service, near the city centre, at a fair price.
