  • The front desk was mostly unhelpful and watched as my wife and I struggled through the front door with our luggage. The check-in was very brief and we were told how to get to the lifts, which require some expertise to get them going if one is unaccustomed to the keyless activation system in use. Our room was 2xsingle as that was the only smoking configuratrion available. On the way to our fourth floor room we passed some open doors many occupied by youngsters, in various stages of undress, and apparently studying. This dormitory feeling was confirmed by the signage "Sydney campus apartments" posted around the place. On the first and second nights I became aware that I was not alone in the bed and woke with insect bites. After reporting that to reception, something was done about the insects and I slept alone on the third night. However, we were awoken at 2:30am by a group of youngsters chatting and smoking outside our only bedroom window.. Read review

  • I honestly can't figure out why so many people gave this hotel such rotten reviews; my friend and I stayed at the Unilodge from 5/11-5/18 and we couldn't have more positive things to say about the property and the staff! Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, when we originally booked our room, they only had a single queen bed room available, but when we checked in, they found us a room with two twins and a bathroom ensuite! The location isn't that far from Darling Harbour (a good 20 minute walk), taxi fare is only around $10 AUD (and there's ALWAYS taxis nearby the hotel! As for our room, it's small, but large enough for two people to not get in each other's way. Our housekeeper gave us fresh towels and soap everyday, and I could swear that they also changed our linens everyday as well.. Read review

  • We felt this was a great room for the price--$102/night--I was rather nervous that it was so inexpensive as I had heard the rooms in Sydney could go for $300+.. Read review

  • Unilodge is in a great location, right next to Gleb so that was fantastic. The staff though on the other hand were very pleasant and friendly.. Read review

  • Well this hotel was actually good but be prepared for a decent hike to the centre of town or a willingness to spend large amounts on public transport.. Read review
