Grand Plaza Park Hotel City Hall  - Singapore, Singapore 

Stayed at the Grand Plaza Park Hotel for 2 nights and really enjoyed my stay. The staff are really courteous and the rooms are clean, although from my room there wasn't much of a view. As I had arranged for a taxi to meet me at 5am, the Concierge knew I was coming and addressed me by name as I came into the lobby which was unexpected but appreciated. The location is great, right in the middle of the city and close to the subway. I thoroughly recommend staying at the Grand Plaza.

I spent 3 nights here on the way home to Australia from a European holiday. I chose the hotel largely on the basis of TripAdvisor reviews and because it is right in the middle of the city, close to train & bus routes, shops (mid-level & high-level) and cafes & food outlets- I was not disappointed. The front-of-house facilities & service were excellent, the cafe meals & breakfasts good and the room good. The gym & pool were excellent, better than most 3-4 star & some 5 star hotels I've stayed at. My only complaint is that housekeeping response to a request was slow, but the quality of their work was good.
