Open from April-October, the hotel is composed of 2 separate buildings with fully-furnished hotel rooms with balconies overlooking the sea. The hotel also offers a number of apartments, detached houses and panoramic villas located 1 km from the sea.

During the day, guests can choose from a variety of activities, making use of the hotel’s pedal boats, windsurfing and canoeing equipment, football ground, tennis court, swimming pool and complete beach facilities. They could also take part in one of the hotel’s organised excursions to the Eolie Islands, Stromboli or the inner region of Calabria.

Location

Capo Vaticano is a large bathing area on the Municipality of Ricadi in Calabria, Italy. The Cape is formed by a particular white-grey granite, which is examined worldwide for its geological features.

The coast of Capo Vaticano starts at the bay of Tono and ends in the bay of Santa Maria. The most charming bay is Grotticelle, which is divided into 3 beaches.

The famous Venetian poet, Giuseppe Berto, after touring the entire Italian peninsula, decided to settle here to write some of his books.

Capo Vaticano is also known as the best place in which to cultivate the red onion, thanks to the nourishment in the earth.

Nice, clean, although little tiny rooms, which is common in Italy. Only concern was just one small wardrobe and no othe place to but the belongings in. Place much better located then most of the other places in Capo Vaticano. Going to the beach, you are not dependant on hotels shuttle (which would be the only option when staying at La Bussola or some others distant places reviewed here). Hotel itself has a very nice staff , helpful in anything we were asking about. Breakfast buffet has limited choice but good quality of food. Dinner is served on a fixed time (little unconvenient if you plan to go for a day trip or when going out for the evening in Tropea etc), but offers reasonable meals for very convenient prices. Not a big pool but being not crowdy makes reasonable option to an excellent beach just 300 metres away.
