3During our trip through Germany & Austria in August 2006, my husband & I spent 2 nights at the Hotel Regina. Our trip was booked through a travel agent. We drove from Salzburg & can honestly say, we spent close to an hour just driving around Vienna trying to find the hotel! But, the location is great! Both the exterior & interior are very old-fashioned looking - but, we thought it was neat to stay in a hotel that still had the feel of a century ago. We found the staff to be polite & helpful as well. We were so excited when taken to our room - since we were on our honeymoon, they had upgraded us to a massive suite overlooking the Votivkirche, complete with two bathrooms! We even had a piano in our room! And, to top it off, they had a Franz Josef torte & letter of congratulations waiting for us! It was the little details like that which made our stay there so memorable. While the feel of the hotel is definitely old-fashioned and perhaps out-dated to some, we thought it really took guests back to old-world Vienna.
