We had a great 6 night stay at the Kaiserwasser. Really friendly and helpful staff, terrific bar, the rooms and facilities were very stylish and good. The location is excellent (the tube is opposite and its three tube stops to the centre - you're overlooked by the UN building). It's going to be a terrific business/boutique hotel. This hotel opened in July 07 and we stayed in August. This meant we got a very, very good price - and that the hotel still had a few very small unfinished edges. But most of them worked to our advantage (the charging system in the fitness suite wasn't connected). So if you're staying in Vienna - give it a go. And look around for some good deals. And thanks to Giedre and all the other staff who made us feel so welcome.

We stayed here for almost a week and had a great time - close enough to the city and by the International Conference Centre. Staff were fantastic despite coping with teething problems of a new hotel. Particularly Geidre Altenstrasser - she provided us with lots of advice and help. The hotel was fairly empty when we stayed because it's new - so service was excellent. The hotel still needs to put information out better - nothing in the rooms or at reception for example on visitor attractions etc. Very good bar and cocktails! Behind the hotel is a lake which is lovely to swim in and used by locals.
