The hotel was originally the summer residence of the Earl Donini family and comprises of several buildings set in private woods and extensive landscaped gardens. Alla Posta Dei Donini was originally built in the 17th century and restored in the 18th century with paintings and frescoes of the famous Perugian artists Giuli and Appiani, which today still decorate the walls and ceilings of its many rooms. The two villas, Costanza and Laura, have been completely restored and are connected by a glass panelled walkway with a scenic garden. We just returned from Tuscany and Umbria where we spent four heavenly nights at the Alla Posta dei Donini. The surroundings are beautiful, the room spacious, the staff friendly and helpful, the food delicious, the public areas elegant and inviting. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room and bath immaculate. We even had a semi walk-in closet. Breakfast was plentiful in a pretty attrium, and our one dinner was excellent. The grounds are magnificent and the pool area a wonderful place to relax after a day of touring.
The only drawback is there is not much else in San Martino en Campo. Although close to the E45 and not far from Perugia, you must drive a bit if you wish to eat anywhere else. However, it was a wonderful retreat to come back to after a long day exploring Umbria. We would both highly recommend Alla Posta dei Donini.

Sono stato solo di passaggio, tutto era perfetto una bella villa nelle vicinanxe di perugia. Molto curati i particolari, le camere spaziose e pure i bagni modermi con scorci sul parco circostante.
Direi che è adatto per turisti di passaggio ma non sicuramente per soggiorni lunghi.
