Hotel Vivaldi - Puteaux, France     

Having been told that The Vivaldi is a 15minute walk from the Metro and reading good reviews on Tripadvisor, I promptly booked it. It is a quaint little hotel in Defense, but the 15minute walk to Metro is a lie, it takes 30minutes or more to walk there even more if u are tired. Though the metro once u get there is only two short stops from the Eiffel tower and Champs elysees. There is a McDonalds very close and a huge Supermarket called MONOPRIX which sells all amenities but shuts at 9.30pm so we had trouble buying snacks and drinks after this time as there are only fast food places. There are many chinese restaurants and some Turkish food joints. The staff at Vivaldi are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and there are many channels available to watch. Defense itself is a nice area to shop in so you dont really have to go too far to find a huge shopping centre as there is one in this complex. All in all it is a good hotel but just way too far from Metro. Plus we booked a triple bedroom but were just given a Double bed and a single bed which was too short for my cousin to sleep on.

The hotel was lovely, modern and very clean. The breakfast even though was continental was also as good as it looked in the picture. I stayed in room 101 which is the one in front of the lift on the 1st floor, big enough for 2 people and very comfortable. The nearest metro only a few minutes away, tip- take the exit on the left once you go through the barriers. The hotel is well located for food places and loads of bakerys which are only walking distance away. There is even a McDonalds if the strain of trying to speak in French becomes too much. The hotel people speak very good English and i would definitely stay in this place again
