City Hotel Deutschmeister - Vienna, Austria     

While advertised as a hotel, the Hotel Deutschmeister goes well above and beyond what is expected. We had a last minute change to our booking which was efficiently dealt with, replies been made inside an hour. Our booker however forgot to ask for 2 single beds in the revised booking. On arrival the hotel staff were only too happy to sort this out, and ended up giving us a 3 person room, for the price of one. The room is very nicely decorated. However, along with the standard european room with tv, bed etc, this had a full kitchen set-up (dish washer, coffee machine, electric stove top, fridge etc), a separate bedroom, spacious and clean bathroom. The overall room was huge and I only wish we had been in Vienna longer to enjoy it. The hotel is not smack in the centre of the city, but in a very nice area, close to the canal. The tube station is literally 30m walk around the corner. You can be in the centre square in 4 tube stops. Fantastic hotel, wil definately stay again and recommend to all.

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. We booked a twin room, and when we arrived found we had a one bedroom apartment in the older building at the front. We had loads of room!! And a small kitchen! Beds were very comfy and slept really well each night. The location is great, cafes and places to eat near by along with a couple of supermarkets round the corner. Just 2 minutes from the underground - and this line takes you to Wien Mitte for the City Airport Train in just a couple of stops - and about 5 mins from the tram stop that will take you to the Ringstrasse, Hofburg Palace, Opera, etc. Or it's about 15-20mins walk to the old town and all the sights. Staff were helpful and the breakfast was good. All in all a great place to stay and great value for money. Would definitely recommend.
