Pension Hotel Mariahilf - Vienna, Austria     

Very friendly and homely pension right on one of Viennas main streets. Rooms are clean and OK, but appears a bit run down and very old furniture. Beds in some rooms are a major problem, particularly for people above 175 cm, I changed room and got a slightly better bed. Sound proofing is certainly insufficient, but guests were peaceful so no problem. Very friendly service. Breakfast continental style was acceptable at this price level.

We stayed last week at the Mariahilf pension for 2 nights. Good location and very close to the Vienna Metro H3 line. Good access to street and has lift. Rooms are very tiny, beds are marginal at best. If possible avoid street rooms (rooms 1-8) as they are very noisy at night with traffic. Breakfast was good and offered good variety. Although Pension claims to offer wireless internet, it does not work in the rooms and is marginal in the lobby area. Pension staff had little command of german or english. Pension arranged for preferred taxi airport transportation. Price quote was 30 Euro, driver required 40 Euro... Scrutenize your travel plans. Madwolf
