NH Wien address: Mariahilfer Strasse 32-34, Vienna, 1070

NH Wien details: The hotel NH Wien is located directly in Spittelberg, an area which allures with its cultural as well as its culinary delights. If you love to shop, the Mariahilfer Straße is the longest and most popular shopping boulevard in Vienna. Alternatively, experience culture in the diverse theatre genres at Spittelberg, or indulge your palate in one the numerous restaurants and bars.

Right around the corner you find the Imperial Palace (Hofburg), and the museum quarter (MuseumsQuartier), whose varied cultural offerings transport you to a slightly different and more modern Vienna cultural scene.

The NH Wien’s brilliance is not only due to its central location, ideal for everyone who wishes to experience the buzz of the metropolis close up, but also through its stylish and modern furnishings. A newly decorated wellness area with sauna and fitness room is available for all guests. I stayed here one night to be close to the airport for an early morning flight. The hotel is just across the taxi stand on the arrivals level. It is perfect if you don't want to deal with the stress of getting up early, worrying whether the taxi will come on time, worrying about whether there will be a lot of traffic, etc.. At the NH, you're already there. The facility looks like it has recently been redone. The lobby and rooms are decorated in those earth tones and dark woods that the decorating shows use to provide a relaxing "Zen garden" atmosphere. (The halls and elevator are still faux baroque.) The room was was super clean and was not noisy. The bathroom was HUGE and provided all amenities, including a wash sponge, razor, etc. You can get breakfast included. It's a good deal, they have a lot to offer, but the breakfast room is big and noisy, and the food layout seems to make no sense at all. There seemed to be sporadic service. I couldn't figure out if the plates and silverware were supposed to be set out, or whether I was supposed to go over and get them, or whether the coffee was self-serve. If you want to visit Vienna on a daily basis, this would not be the location to do it from. You have to take an S-Bahn to Wien Landstrasse Mitte, and then take (and pay for) a trip on the U-Bahn to get to the City Center. All in all, it takes about half an hour or so (and two separate tickets) to get in or out of town. There are other places closer in that would be better for that. This location is for business people, flight crews, and tourists looking to avoid a last-minute rush to the airport. ,

I dont know where to start - - the hidden entrance - the maze to get to the room - having only 1 person working in the hotel - AC not working all weekend and nothing they can do about it till Monday! they gave us a fan! - Waking up and finding out that there is no electricity, and it seemed like a very normal thing when I called reception to complain. Obviously, no electricity means the fan they gave us didnt work, woke up in a puddle of sweat! - charging exorbitant amounts of money for using anything, internet for 24 hours costs 17 euros, the shampoo and shower gel cost money! The rooms are pretty specious but other than that, it is an absolute joke the way the hotel is running!
