Stayed two nights in a single room. Good quality for money, very nice breakfast buffet with excellent coffee, clean rooms, nice staff, BUT very, very thin walls in my room. I could hear just about everything my neighbours did.

This pension was not bad but not perfect at all as reviews said. Very friendly reception. Good breakfast served with care. I chose this hotel because it was close to Westbahnhof railway station; it is not the city center though there is a shopping street Mariahilferstrasse near which leads to Ring. The furniture and everything in room was quite old but in fact everything was in order. Most of all I disliked two things: very dirty shower curtain in shower (which was just a tray with curtain) and absence of any heating. There was a hairdryer (average) in bathroom but no socket for your own, only socket for shavers. And there could be more electric light, both in room and in bathroom.

My husband and I stayed at the Pension Pharmador for 5 nights in December. It was all it promised: quiet, clean, warm with friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast was also as promised, with plenty of fresh food to choose from every day. The hotel is located on a quiet street, but has numerous restaurants near by, as well as a supermarket. The underground is about 5 minutes walk away, so is the train station. As you get to the underground station, you will find yourself suddenly surrounded by shops, restaurants, bakeries etc. Fantastic. The room was very clean, with a small minibar. The staff gave us a detailed map of Vienna, and there were also brochures in the room, as well as a typed page with instructions on how to get to the most famous sights from the hotel. The staff were also very willing to answer any questions we had. We had a great time, have a lot of lovely memories, and would definately stay there again on future visits.
