My husband and I spent 4 nights in this hotel. We wanted to visit Vienna for a long time and this hotel looked suitable for our needs. We came by car and this hotel had garage and also had free wireless internet access, which was great for us.
Besides this there is a hotel policy stating that you must make a deposit in advance, which is rather uncomfortable. After that, when they made the final total for our staying, they would have tricked us, if we had not been careful. They asked us to pay twice the room value, because they miscalculated the deposit we have made in advance. So be very careful for calculations.
The hotel staff is as much as kind as their English language permits, because it is rather limited.
The breakfast was poor comparing to the high room value, and the lady asking for coffee to serve every morning had a slow mind because she always forgot to bring the coffee in due time.
If you want to serve lunch and dinner in this hotel, then you must choose another because here they cannot provide such services. They will direct you to a local corner restaurant which is not so impressive, but have low prices.
The room was OK, worm and tidy, and they cleaned it every day.
Vienna is a wonderful city, full of history and with lots to visit. We spent 3 full days here, but you need more for sure.
The weather was not friendly at all, it rained a lot. Still, we managed to visit Vienna House of butterflies (Schmetterlingshaus) and Sisi Museum/ silver collection.

Hotel Wilhelmshof is a very good, relatively reasonably priced, and conveniently located option for Vienna. I booked "superior" rooms directly with the hotel; they were spacious and furnished in a contemorary style, with large bathrooms. The hotel appears to have been remodeled recently. Breakfast was ample. The front desk was reasonably helpful. The hotel is only about a four or five minute walk from the u-bahn station and the train station, so getting from and to the airport, and into town, is very easy. (Trains to the airport run every 30 minutes, at approximately 21 minutes after the hour and 51 minutes after the hour. Note that TWO tickets per person are required each way.) It is about a 20-25 minute walk to Stephensdom.
