City Hotel Nebo - Copenhagen, Denmark 

I think this hotel is one of the most generous hotels I have seen especially for a pretty bad city in terms of amenities and FOOD which is Copenhagen... The breakfast was great- absolutely delicious and great serves and the rooms clean - especially for the price it was fantastic. The location was great too right near the central station. The tiny problem was a filthy pipe running in the corner of the shower which you had to keep away from aswell as dirty soap dispensers- but if you BYO that isn't a problem . Overall I would definitely stay there again- even with the funny guy at the front counter.

After reading up on Hotel Nebo on tripadvisor, I booked our weekend accommodation based on cost, location and cleanliness. Well...BAD CHOICE! Upon arriving outside the hotel and waiting to get in my husband got his wallet pickpocketed. Reception was kind enough to help us with providing us access to the phone and pointing us to the local police station. We had arranged for a double-room with shared bathroom facilities. In general, reception was neutral if albiet cold, there was free net access if you could get on it, breakfast times very busy and toilets clean. The biggest issue we had was that he ended up with an attack of bed bugs all on his body ...so much for saving money. I would recommend highly to people to know what they're getting in for. The location although very central is like any other busy city, known for petty theft and drugs. At the police station they told us that Istagade is one of the most dangerous areas and especially in summer lots of drunks on the streets. It would be worth paying more $ if you can afford it, not worth skimping to get bed bugs and robbed.
