I stayed for couple of days before and during EURO ...I must say I was nicely surprised for the following reasons:
1/ Usually an Ibis Hotel is located at least 200KM from down town (case in Paris, ibis hotels are located next to airport zone!). Ibis Wien Messe is 2 min walk to a major U-Bhann (underground) station and all the capital is well served ...U just need few minutes to any where !
2/ 20min by walk to Messe Exhibition Center / 30min to Stadium - By taxi just 15 minutes from airport (cost: 30 Euros only) -
3/ Breakfast is ok, Lunch (didn't try it) and dinner ok as well for an Ibis Hotel!
3/ Staff: very friendly, helpful, unformal atmosphere...and usually speak several languages (french, spanish, portoguese even greek!)
Overall, I had very low expectation when booking this hotel, but my stay was really fine...Would recommend it to ALL of you ..

nice and clean with aircondition. Small rooms but with coffee and tea facilities. Good beds and ok bath room.
All in all: a nice hotel, full value but not close to the attractions
