Great hotel! The rooms aren't anything special but they are clean and well kept and not too bad for size. Bed seemed a bit wornout but I slept well. Good shower with lots of hot water. A/C worked great! The included breakfast is simple but good with yogurt, cereals, rolls that changed each days, some meats and cheeses, toasts, hard boiled eggs, etc. and coffee made to order. The staff was awesome and very helpful.
The best thing is the location. It was central enough for us that we walked to all of the big sights. I'd say 25 minute walk to Vatican City, 10 minutes to the Pantheon, 20 minutes to the Forum and Palatine, 25 minutes to the Coliseum, 30 minutes to Villa Borghese. The Campo de' Fiori is a stone's throw away and has a great morning market for fresh fruit, vegetables, and meats and cheeses too.
Internet access only from 2 PCs in lounge (0.05 euro per minute) and no access in rooms so might not be great for business. Laundry service takes 24 hours and is not available on weekend. However, the Campo de' Fiori has a great dry cleaner with rates much better than typical hotel rates.
Right next door to the hotel are two excellent restaurants, Hostaria Costanza and Trattoria del Pallaro. Great cafes are nearby, too.

When we first arrived to the Hotel Teatro Di Pompeo my mom was a little taken aback by its obscure location and lack of street appeal. However, she quickly grew to love this hotel in Rome.
Hotel Teatro Di Pompeo is conveniently located by Campo del Fiori which is great for people watching. Although by a popular bar district the hotel itself was sheltered from the noise. The triple room we secured had a separate area for the third bed which was wonderful.
Also, the breakfast was a step above the European fare found at most hotels. It included cold cuts and hard boiled eggs which was hard to find elsewhere. And breakfast was served in the ruins of a old Roman Theater from 55 BC!
The Trip Advisor reviews about the front desk was the main reason why I booked the hotel. I was not disappointed! My mom was sick when we arrived and Paulo helped us find a pharmacy and make sure she had everything she needed to be comfortable.
I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Rome!
