Best Western Hotel Elefant - Salzburg, Austria     

We spent Christmas 2007 here and it was perfect. Before we arrived, we emailed the hotel with queries and requests for bookings. Herr Mertel & herr Weigl responded quickly and efficiently and everything was done as requested. These two gentlemen were efficient and helpful throughout our visit and made several really helpful suggestions. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. They made our Christmas visit just perfect.

We just returned from a Christmas trip to Vienna and Salzburg. The Hotel Elefant is located in the center of the old town section. The location was wonderful. All of the churches and main historic attractions were within easy walking distance. This area is full of restaurants and upscale shopping. In our view, staying in this area really made the trip. The hotel was not fancy, but was nice and clean, and again the location can't be beat. The bathroom was a little small, but otherwise the rooms were fine with nice pillows and comforters. Housekeeping was efficient. There was a large sitting area/TV room with a computer on the second floor of the hotel. Breakfast in the morning was included and was a very nice spread. The staff spoke English and was nice and helpful.
